Our 21 year old AC unit kicked the bucket thanks to the recent heat wave. It died on Sunday of the Pioneer Day weekend. After trying two other repair companies on Monday that were closed due to the holiday, I gave Mr. Good Guy a shot. Scott picked up the phone immediately. His employee made it out the next day to see if they could repair the unit. Needless to say, our unit was toast. We made the decision with his input and recommendation, to go with the 96% high efficient Goodman heat pump. This unit replaced our traditional gas furnace and AC system. The cost was more than an 80% efficient traditional system, but with rebates from RMP and Dominion Energy, as well as a federal tax credit, we will eventually be able to get in the same ball park as the traditional unit. Scott and his team installed the new system and had the AC back in service the following Thursday. They completed the heating portion the next day. I was pleasantly suprised that we were able to be back online so quickly. We have now had the unit installed for over a week and love it so far. The AC is quieter, cooler, and does a better job serving our entire home. We were impressed with Scott's communication throughout the process. His customer service was great. Scott even completed our rebate applications and we already received the RMP rebate. We are also already approved for the DE rebate and we are just waiting for the check in the mail. Much thanks to Scott and his team. I can't recommend Mr. Good Guy enough.

Our A/C stopped working on one of the hottest days on record in Utah, and on a Friday night. I called Mr.Good Guy. First thing Monday morning Scott came and assessed the situation. We recently had our AC unit go out and had a few contractors in to bid the project. We ended up doing both the furnace and AC since both were aged out. It was immediately apparent that Scott was more about finding the right system than he was trying to up-sell. He was very upfront, not to mention the lowest bid, and stayed late to complete the work the same day. Needless to say, we were very thankful for a cool home during the summer heat. Scott followed up the next day to see how things were going. I’d hire Scott again in heartbeat and can’t recommend him enough. You won’t be disappointed by choosing to do business with him.

When I had to call him back due to code violations called out by the gas company, he not only fixed the venting and upgraded it, but he also upgraded the furnace side too. He had a medical emergency that morning and Gina in the office (a total rockstar) handled everything and found someone else to still keep their word and get it all done despite all the stress they were under that morning. I had to share this publicly so everyone will know that this company backs up their work, sticks to commitments (even after-hours and during an emergency of their own), and cares more about what is "right" than getting a buck. Mr. Good Guy it's not only a name the company has, but it's in actuality! I appreciate the fact that Scott had the integrity to tell me exactly what the problem with my furnace was: the switch next to the furnace was simply turned off. As I was waiting for Scott to arrive I was able to find out through their website about a whole house humidifier system, so even though my switch was turned off, I was able to find out about the mentioned system that I hope to take advantage of in the near future.....all thanks to my switch being turned off.
